WASHINGTON – U.S. Sens. Roger Wicker and Thad Cochran today announced that Fayette has been selected to receive a $24,000 grant to help purchase two new police cars and a tractor through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program.
“This grant will help purchase two new patrol cars and a tractor, helping the Fayette Police Department and the City of Fayette provide better services to their residents,” said Sen. Wicker.
The USDA Rural Development Program aims to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life in rural America. This is done by providing financial and technical assistance to foster growth and new opportunities for business development, home ownership, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
