Wicker, Cochran Announce $200,000 for Aaron E. Henry Community Health Center in Clarksdale

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sens. Roger Wicker and Thad Cochran today announced the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) has approved a $200,000 grant to the Aaron E. Henry Community Health Center in Clarksdale to renovate and expand their ambulatory care center.
The renovation of the ambulatory care center will include increasing the number of exam rooms and reconfiguring existing space to improve patient flow and safety. Additionally, the project will upgrade connectivity in order to utilize new technology and improve communication as well as expand space for future development of dental services.
“As a strong supporter of the mission of community health centers, I am glad the DRA is stepping in to help ensure Mississippians in the Delta have access to the quality care that health centers provide,” Sen. Wicker said.
In addition to the DRA grant, local sources will provide $575,000, bringing the total project funding to $775,000.
