Senator Wicker Launches New Website
Says New Website Makes it Easier to Communicate with Constituents
July 16, 2008
WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker R-Miss., today announced the launch of his new Senatorial website, located at www.wicker.senate.gov. The website, which replaces Senator Wicker’s transitional website, was designed to help keep Mississippians informed on what is happening in Congress, as well as what the senator is doing on their behalf.
“Communicating with the people of Mississippi and keeping them informed on the issues important to them is a priority of mine, and this new website helps me do that more effectively,” Sen. Wicker said. “Whether someone is looking for information on my latest vote or needs help with an agency of the federal government, my website will serve as a useful tool for Mississippians.”
In order to provide constituents with a more interactive way of keeping updated on the activities before Congress, Wicker’s website offers features that allow constituents to hear audio, watch videos, and view photographs of the senator at work. The website also contains the senator’s positions on various issues, information for constituents looking for help with a federal agency, and information on how to contact the senator. Constituents are also able to sign up for e-mail updates from the senator.
Sen. Wicker urged Mississippians to visit his new website and use it as a way to communicate with him.
“Feedback from the people of Mississippi is important to me,” Wicker said. “There are serious issues facing our state every day, so I urge all Mississippians to visit my website and take the opportunity to send me an e-mail with views on issues important to them.”
