WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker today issued the following statement after President Bush nominated J. Richard Barry to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi:

“I am glad President Bush nominated Rick Barry to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi,” Wicker said.  “Rick is a well-respected professional in the legal community who I am confident will serve Mississippi well.  I am hopeful the Senate will act on his nomination soon and confirm him quickly.”
