WASHINGTON – U.S. Sens. Roger Wicker and Thad Cochran today announced that Tylertown has been selected to receive a $24,000 grant to help purchase two new police cars through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program.
“This grant will help purchase two new police cars that will allow the Tylertown Police Department to continue providing protection to the residents of their community,” Sen. Wicker said.
The USDA Rural Development Program aims to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life in rural America. This is done by providing financial and technical assistance to foster growth and new opportunities for business development, home ownership, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
