Lee Academy Student Meets with Senator Wicker During His Visit to Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., met with Austin Moore, a senior at Lee Academy in Clarksdale. During his visit with Senator Wicker, Moore discussed the senator’s upcoming vote on the economic stimulus package. Following the meeting, Moore went to the Senate Gallery and watched the Senate vote on the stimulus bill. Senator Wicker voted against the economic stimulus legislation, but it passed by a vote of 61-37.
