Senator to Make Stops in Lee, Oktibbeha, and Union Counties
April 14, 2009
WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., will continue his “back roads” tour of Mississippi with stops tomorrow in Lee, Oktibbeha, and Union Counties. Sen. Wicker’s “back roads” tour has been an annual tradition, beginning when he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
“When the Senate is not voting or holding hearings in Washington, I spend as much time as possible in Mississippi,” Sen. Wicker said. “It has always been important to me to hear from residents in all parts of the state, not just the larger cities. This ‘back roads’ tour will again allow me to hear the concerns of folks at country stores, neighborhood restaurants, and trucks stops in small towns across Mississippi.”
All events are open to the press and public. Schedule is subject to change.
