Wicker Honored by American Conservative Union

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today was honored by the American Conservative Union for his conservative record in the first session of the 111th Congress. Sen. Wicker was presented the award by David A. Keene, Chairman of the American Conservative Union, at a Capitol Hill ceremony on Thursday.

“This award is a reflection of Senator Roger Wicker’s consistent support of conservative principles on a wide range of issues of concern to grass roots conservatives in 2009. At a challenging time when the fundamental principles on which the American system of government are being challenged, Senator Roger Wicker stands with those who are trying to preserve those principles,” said David A. Keene, Chairman of the American Conservative Union.

Sen. Wicker has a lifetime conservative rating of 90.8 percent by the American Conservative Union.
