TUPELO, MS – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) today commented on the historic flooding affecting the Mississippi Delta region.

"I am concerned about the impact of the extensive flooding throughout the Mississippi Delta.  My office and I are working with Governor Barbour's office, in addition to federal, state and local entities to deliver help to those in need as quickly as possible. Many places along the Mississippi River will be cresting in the coming days. I urge anyone living in flood-prone areas to heed warnings and get to higher ground,” said Wicker.
