Wicker Honored with Rural Cellular Association’s “Congressional Leadership Award”

Wicker receives award for his leadership on telecommunications issues

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) received the “Congressional Leadership Award” from the Rural Cellular Association (RCA).  Wicker received the award for his leadership in the Senate on legislative issues affecting wireless telecommunications providers in rural areas.

“Access to affordable voice and data services is critical for rural and underserved areas,” said Wicker. “I am proud to receive this award for my work to bring competitiveness to this industry. I will continue working toward ensuring that connection to these important networks is available for Mississippians and across the country.”

The Rural Cellular Association is a national association representing rural wireless telecommunications providers across the United States.
