October 5, 2012

TUPELO, MISS. – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) today received the Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).  Wicker received the award for support of an agenda that promotes economic growth and job creation.

“I am committed to removing unnecessary regulations and stopping tax increases on job creators in Mississippi and across this country,” said Wicker.  “Encouraging economic growth is important to job creation, and manufacturing will play an important role in bringing about true recovery.”

NAM scored votes including efforts to repeal the President’s healthcare bill, approve the Keystone XL Pipeline, and oppose additional taxes on small manufacturers and family-owned businesses.  The trade association represents manufacturers across the United States.
