WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today encouraged college students to apply for a spring 2015 internship in his Mississippi or Washington offices. The D.C. internship program runs from January to May, and in-state internships operate under a similar schedule. 

“Internships give students firsthand experience to participate in the legislative process,” Wicker said.  “Working in a congressional office is a unique way to learn about public service.  I urge students to apply for this opportunity to serve the people of Mississippi in one of my offices.”

Applications for 2015 spring internships are due by November 15.  Internships in Sen. Wicker’s state offices are available in Gulfport, Hernando, Jackson, and Tupelo.  An application and more information about the intern program can be found at www.wicker.senate.gov.
