WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today issued this statement regarding the horrific shooting that took the lives of more than 50 people and injured more than 400 others in Las Vegas:

“My heart goes out to the families and friends of those who lost loved ones in this senseless act of violence. May God comfort the grieving and give strength to those who have been injured. In the face of this despicable evil, the courage of law enforcement, first responders, and others continues to shine through. The days to come will be difficult as we search for answers, but we will heal together as Americans, standing with our brothers and sisters in Nevada.”
