Wicker Statement on Veterans Day
Miss. Senator Scheduled to Attend Events in Morton, Brandon, & Decatur

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and veteran of the U.S. Air Force, today released this statement on the eve of the Veterans Day weekend:
“Our veterans and military families hold a special place in our communities. These men and women have fought for us, and we need to fight for them,” Wicker said. “The people of our nation’s military are especially dear to me as a veteran, the son of a World War II veteran, and the father of an officer in the Air Force. This weekend is an opportunity for all Americans to thank our veterans for their service and to honor them for their sacrifice.”
Wicker is scheduled to attend three Veterans Day events in Mississippi this weekend:
