“The President has laid out a bold vision to secure four core national security objectives: protect the homeland, promote economic prosperity, preserve ‘peace through strength,’ and increase America’s influence across the globe. The strategy also addresses many often-neglected dimensions of national security, including stronger border security, better trade deals, and protecting the industrial base from foreign espionage and theft. I am especially pleased that the Navy plays a unique and pivotal role in achieving the President’s four core national security objectives.
