Wicker Receives Regional Counterdrug Training Academy Award

RCTA Celebrates 25th Anniversary by Honoring Legislative Champion

Representatives from the Regional Counterdrug Training Academy present an award to U.S. Senator Roger Wicker in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today received an award from the Regional Counterdrug Training Academy (RCTA) in recognition of his strong record of support for the facility.

Based at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian, RCTA is one of the nation’s five regional training centers operated by the National Guard Counterdrug Program. Wicker has repeatedly (1, 2, 3) championed the facility as a proven leader in the fight against drug trafficking by training hundreds of thousands of law enforcement officers. The award was presented to Wicker as part of the facility’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.
