Wicker Votes to Fund Energy, Water, Veterans, Military Construction Programs
Passage of Three Appropriations Bills Signals Return to Regular Order
June 25, 2018
U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today voted for H.R. 5895, the “Minibus Appropriations Act.” The legislation includes three combined appropriations bills: Energy-Water Development; Military Construction & Veterans Affairs; and Legislative Branch appropriations.
“Passage of this funding bill would make needed investments in our waterways, ports, and military readiness, as well as take care of our veterans,” Wicker said. “This bill shows that Congress is capable of doing its work and avoiding massive, last-minute funding deals. I am hopeful this return to regular order under Republican leadership will be permanent as more appropriations bills come to the floor.”
