Wicker Affirms Right to Life Ahead of Dobbs Case
Miss. Senator Joins GOP colleagues in urging justice in coming Supreme Court Decision
December 1, 2021
WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today joined several Republican colleagues in championing pro-life values before the Supreme Court takes up the Mississippi case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization on December 1.
Wicker discussed the experience of expecting his own children and grandchildren, and commended Mississippians for bringing the case—which many expect to directly challenge the 1973 abortion ruling of Roe v. Wade—to the court.
“I want to say how proud I am to join Senator Hyde Smith in saying how proud we are of the state of Mississippi for the Dobbs case, which will, I think, make history,” Wicker said. “We begin making history tomorrow with the decision. Millions of Americans are praying today for our country, they’re praying today for the Supreme Court.”
