Senator Wicker Announces Dirk Vande Beek as New Communications Director

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., announced Dirk J. Vande Beek as his new Communications Director for the personal office and the Senate Armed Services Committee Majority Staff.
“I am excited to announce Dirk Vande Beek as my new Communications Director. He brings over two decades of experience in the public and private sector, which will help me best serve Mississippi and advance my agenda as Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee,” Senator Wicker said.
Mr. Vande Beek has worked in numerous federal agencies and corporations. He has served as the Director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Energy to Secretary Rick Perry and as the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under Former Acting Secretary Chad Wolf. Mr. Vande Beek has held leadership positions at Stanley Black & Decker, Computer Associates, The Coca-Cola Company, and Halliburton. During the 2000 presidential campaign, he worked as Director of Communication and Press Secretary for Dick Cheney.
